A little bit about me - Hi I'm Paula and I’m guessing if you found this then you were meant to find me. I'm quite simply an energy lover. From a very young age I knew energy, how to turn it on and how I felt when it wasn't flowing. I thought it was my magic and so did my grandpa. We live simply, baking bread, growing food, moving slowly, and mostly I feel happy, nourished and whole.
My journey - I mentioned previously I have always felt energy, and my life has always revolved around it in some way shape or form. I began meditating at the age of 16 which led me to Yoga, Reiki, Qigong and Access Bars. I am an enthusiastic learner, always engaging in some form of growth. I am passionate about helping others feel better. I offer practices that energetically work with the body on many levels, the physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual. Practice's that are healing and guide you back to your own natural state of wellness and wholeness.
Qigong -I am a certified for the teaching Qi (chi) meaning life force or energy, Gong meaning work or skill. A pillar of Chinese medicine, thousands of years old. An exercise practise, that rather than burn energy, you build and store energy within the body. We work with seasons, cycles, sounds, vibration, directions, senses, organs, channels/meridians and so much more. It's believed when energy becomes deficient, excessive, stuck, stagnant or blocked that illness or dis-ease can form. We work in such a way to move this energy before it becomes disease.
Yin yoga- I am a certified Yin yoga teacher. Yin yoga is closely related to Taoist yoga, and closely related to Qigong. In Yin yoga we work with the soft connective tissues of the body, bones, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Applying gentle stress to juice up the joints, hydrating the fascia to make us more mobile and flexible. We also work with 12 meridian channels within the body encouraging energy to run smoothly. We move into the shape, find our stillness and hold for time , indulging in physical sensations , emotions and meditative states.
Meditation - as a certified meditation teacher, I offer techniques for beginners to the more advanced, breath work, sensations, yoga nidra, body scanning, mettas and guided meditations.
Access bars- 32 points on the head that connect to our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, opinions, values and other peoples considerations that limit us from living our best life. Gently touching these points release them, Similar to hitting a delete button on a computer.
Reiki- an ancient Japanese healing technique that promotes your body’s natural healing abilities, helps release internal blockages and balances the chakra system of the body. We open up our vessel acting as a channel for the energy to flow through us.
